I send it over and cross my fingers that no extra coffee is needed. You say: ‘Oh wow, this is lovely!’ I exhale. Then I leave you alone for a while and disappear into my colours. You leave me alone too \u2014 I need it then. And on your worst possible day, I send you a photo of the finished piece. And you realise the day maybe wasn’t so bad after all.
