A brief summary of Daniela Gaser’s words about the picture book Listen to the Forest:<\/p>\n\n

‘Interactive picture book<\/strong> designed to preserve and strengthen mindfulness in children. It invites awareness of inner experience and the unfolding outer world. Four seasonal stories may be read as an interconnected whole or individually, each carrying its own message. It helps children recognise, name, accept, express and regulate emotions\u2014each story offers ways to soothe a particular feeling. The stories also include breathing exercises and recorded meditations specific to their season.’ <\/p>\n\n

I created traditionally painted illustrations for Listen to the Forest. Blending those soft seasonal tonal shifts and catching the emotional sensations they carry was a joy.<\/p>\n\n

And dear Darja<\/a> breathed tangible life into it all, masterfully weaving word and image in her sensitive, refined way. Thank you.<\/p>\n\n
