Moji mamici \u2013 a book of poems<\/p>\n\n

In June a new book came out \u2013 a collection of poems by Zvezdana Majhen<\/strong>, published by Studio Hieroglif<\/strong> (yes, the very same team that makes sure a fresh issue of Zmaj\u010dek<\/a><\/strong> \ud83d\udc09 appears every month).<\/p>\n\n

When Ur\u0161ka contacted me, sent me Zvezdana\u2019s poems and asked: \u201cAre you in?\u201d<\/em> \u2026 I almost squealed! Of course I was IN. This is exactly my theme \u2013 lyrical, gentle, pretty, a little deep, with children, flowers, love, mothers\u2026 and everything that smells of pancakes. \ud83e\udd5e<\/p>\n\n

Ur\u0161ka gave me completely free rein: \u201cDo whatever inspires you.\u201d<\/em>And that is such a privilege. No deadlines, no format constraints, no rule of \u201chow many colours is enough\u201d. Just me, paper and the poems.<\/p>\n\n

Illustrations born straight from the heart<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

And something magical happened. The illustrations appeared almost effortlessly, as if they had always been inside me just waiting to come out. This is a project for the soul. I often say I work on projects \u201cfor the soul\u201d\u2026 but this time it truly felt weightless, as if I were drawing in zero gravity. This is home.<\/p>\n\n

The collection Moji mamici<\/a><\/strong> was created out of love and for love. So I invite you to take it in your hands and read it \u2013 not linearly, but as it comes. A little in the morning with coffee, a stanza when you are low, or just because you can. Poetry is like that \u2013 it arrives as inspiration exactly when you need it.<\/p>\n\n

I have already uploaded the collection to my online shop<\/a>, where you can order it. \ud83d\uded2To me it feels like the perfect token for all our mums, aunts, friends, sisters \u2013 and also for ourselves. A book is always the loveliest gift. No special occasion needed \u2013 give it just like that, to say out loud: \u201cThank you, dear mum.\u201d<\/em> \ud83c\udf38<\/p>\n\n
