Description
The illustrated wall calendar 2027 Little Songs in Colour is a songbook that hangs on your wall: every month, one little song from Zmajček magazine, dressed up in watercolour.
Welcome to my new calendar for 2027: Little Songs in Colour!
Every year, as I put a calendar together, I look for a common thread to tie the next twelve months together. This time a personal need sparked the wish to return to something very close to my heart – the verses and little songs I have illustrated for Zmajček magazine in recent years – and to give them a very special place.
What makes creating for children special is the interplay of two seeming opposites – a delicate, fragile aesthetic and lively, untamed childlike joy. This calendar is where those worlds meet: the gentle, almost porcelain softness of watercolour, pulsing with pure joy of life. The result is a world as tender as a butterfly’s wings and as wildly happy as a child’s squeal.
My special thanks go to dear Urša, editor of Zmajček, who always senses which verses will call to my brush, and to all the poets and composers whose words and sounds I was allowed to give a visual form.
Beyond all the marked dates and obligations, may this year bring you above all room for a gentler rhythm, the ring of good poetry and the nuances of time we too often fail to hear in the rush.
For 2027 I have made two versions, a wall and a desk calendar, so you can choose the one that best suits your corner:

An illustrated art wall calendar that will beautifully complement your home or workspace.
Size: 30 × 30 cm closed (30 × 60 cm open on the wall)
