The “Limoncello” artwork has nothing to do with the popular Italian wonder drink, but it is named after a little elf who loved lemons. The little elf liked to brew them into elderflower tea and similar fragrant drinks — though no chance he ever stirred them into Italian liqueur too! The illustration was created as part of the calendar collection for 2021, for the month of May. It’s a great gift idea for a newborn or a little boy who is still waiting for the walls in his little room to turn cheerful and fun.
The original is painted in watercolour, coloured pencils, gouache and dry pastels.
