— priceless creative moments

Every time we run a workshop I’m reminded how incredibly happy and grateful I am to be part of this creative story. Art workshops were always something I dreamed of. I used to feel awkward about “lecturing” others on how to wield a brush. But over the last two years — with lots of joy, a little fear and also pride — I still brought that dream to life. Huge credit goes to my dear Kaja, without whom I could never have managed it. Today the workshops are one of my favourite parts of Zoki.art — moments when a gathering of artistic souls comes together, creates and shares creative energy.

What did we dabble in last time?
At the last workshop of the year we created greeting cards and bookmarks — of course there had to be glitter and gold! 🪩✨ As always the central thread was painting in the Zoki.art illustration style: layering washes of water and gentle pigments. Simple, tender figures with a delicate decorative touch. We surrendered to the process and enjoyed flowing water and the softness and uniqueness of watercolour. In the workshops we never do “classical” watercolour — I simply don’t; my brain isn’t wired that way. So instead I prefer to lead my girls through my own way of working. Together we discover the magic of creating, talk with our inner child and translate its language in a relaxed, intuitive way onto the painting surface. This time was no different.
I admit I learn a huge amount at every single workshop. Above all I discover what interests you, what you want to explore and how I can offer that in the best possible way. What I can keep exploring further. And what else I should keep getting excited about! Most importantly – I learned to use the coffee machine! Ah well, we Balkan folk only know how to brew Turkish style. 😀

Especially precious for me is finally meeting in person at the workshops those of you who follow what I do. That personal contact is really something special – the moments when we step out of the virtual space into the real world and create together are of priceless value to me. It’s truly lovely to see your faces. And your eyes.
And what’s next?
I hope that in the coming year I’ll run even more workshops and have even more opportunities for wonderful gatherings with you. Thank you, my dear artistic souls, for sharing this path with me. Your energy and talent are an inexhaustible source of inspiration through which Zoki.art changes, lives and grows.
Let me remind you that you can also gift the art workshops in the form of a GIFT VOUCHER. I’ll announce all future dates in good time via the email newsletter (yes, subscribe already, hello!), and on the FB and IG profiles.
Until the next creative gathering,
Zoki 🎨✨
